We can't be having double standards in the fandom. Straight is not the default. So if people are saying that it's "wrong" to ship a character w the same gender then it's also wrong to assume that said character's sexuality is straight and ship them w another character of the opposite gender. Here's a rational. Maybe it's cuz the characters are assumed straight? so a straight ship makes more sense than a gay ship, legal or not. If the characters were assumed gay, and they were put in a straight ship, then I'm sure people would have the same issues too(?) 2 reply
