It really depends for me on intent. obviously if someone is calling it Yaoi and fetishizing it then yeah, but some people grew up calling it Yaoi. And admittedly, so did we. It's our vocab. It's just intent for me.

Am I the only one that feels really uncomfortable when someone uses the term "yaoi" and not BL?
I always automatically think that that person is a fetishizer and doesn't see the genre as more than porno to get off to
