*sigh*
Again I am talking about the manga. I better not see any “the holy grail of eris? More like the holy grail of DIS DICK!” jokes. I swear some of y’all can’t even tell time but you know exactly how many milliseconds are left until no nut November ends. At this point if y’all hoes try me I’m gonna personally make sure that all your kneecap privileges are revoked.

Now that I’m done roasting y’all let’s talk about the manga that’s currently restored my faith in humanity. “The holy grail of Eris”. Basically think of every dumbass shoujo plot where the plain unpopular girl is picked on by the pretty popular girl. Now think of it again but this time in a medieval setting and instead of going against each other, the girls are helping each other. Also one of them just happens to be dead. Meet our MC, Connie. The honest, naive girl from a noble house that’s currently one Big Mac purchase away from being in crippling debt. And Scarlet, the evil villainess who was rightfully executed for attempting to poison the, now, queen of the kingdom. Or was she? Join Connie and Scarlet as they uncover the dark secrets of their current society and reveal the truth about the death of Scarlet Castile.

Honestly it’s been a while since I’ve gotten this excited when a manga gets updated. I don’t even think my summary of it did it justice. I can’t express how this has been everything I was looking for in a manga. The only thing that would make it better is if it were a love story between Scarlet and Connie but it would be pretty hard to do that since Scarlet is dead. All the characters are wonderful and the villains, get this, ARE ACTUALLY SMART! After reading the dumpster fire that was “My fiancé is in love with my little sister” and the disappointment of “+a no tachiichi” this manga was a breath of fresh air.

Cheating. I can’t stand it, especially if the cheater is swiftly and/or effortlessly forgiven. Rape = love. Nope. Seriously...no. Massive turn off.   reply

when they do the thing. You know the thing where they flesh it out for wayyyy too long or they make the female lead a "strong antagonist." but then have her literally do little to no shit. *sigh*. orrrr when the plot isn't just hitting right for me or something really shitty happens in the plot line that hits so hard emotionally that I have to leav......   reply

If I feel strong second-hand embarrassment from it. Sometimes I can just take a break and come back but other times it's too much.   reply

When a ship happens. Idk I can't. Typically in shounen mangas, when there's an actual relationship happening, they have to pause half way for the romances, the girl becomes blushy and tsundere, and the guy becomes an overprotective sempai.   reply

When you figure out the plot halfway or at the start of the manga, and it's not so good. Why would I continue reading a manga with a bad plot, it's annoying. And when the main character suddenly went from badass to the shyest person alive.   reply
