I think this is a bit unfair to answer. Although to a lay person they may all appear to be the same format - it is in fact very different. Korean webtoons are characterized by: color and free form panel lengths. Meanwhile mangas predominantly stick to black and white and a page by page format. I think it's because more children have access to the Internet than like five years ago. I didn't even know about Webtoons until a few years ago to be honest, but I didn't start reading shounen ai until I was 15 and I still don't really read yaoi cuz I ain't an adult. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ 2 reply
