I understand how you feel. I think we are just addicted to fiction because reality is just so plain. Plus anime/manga/etc serves as a distraction. I think you should learn to just read/watch in moderation, meaning that you shouldn’t watch too much so that everyone has to point out that you’re wasting your time. so here's the thing the only thing that makes me forget about my problems is animes/mangas/manhwas/bl and my family calls it "useless" because i cant gain anything from it. which makes me doubt myself that all im doing so far is useless. it makes me want to stop but if i stop i dont know what to do with my life anymore. ive been taking a break and stop watching/reading anime/manga. and i realize how lonely i am. when i stop doing things i like all of my problems comes back to me which is super unbearable i dont know what to do with my life anymore.
