Is no one bothered by rape in yaoi?
I love yaoi, okay? Don't get me wrong. But are you seriously okay with the uke falling in love with the rapist/predator/paedo seme? Whatever the reason maybe for the seme to do it but this really really bothers me becoz most of the time it's becoz the seme is afraid to confess or some bullshit. Is it really love if you rape them? Like what? I just want to know your opinion. Is it considered okay in japan? I mean there are 11-12 year old girls reading this shit. They are going to think rape is okay. OR even consider it a form of true love. Why no one says anything about it? Is everyone aware of this risk in japan? I mean in my country this would be banned lol.
I don't know if this kind of thing is alright in Japan because I'm not from there but I've always been quite bothered with the rape tropes they put in yaoi, which is why I try to avoid them whenever possible. For the most part I lean towards the shounen ai genre because I want to see more healthy gay couples and I want them to be happy with each ot...... 1 reply
