yall my dumbass just realized that in yaoi they usually know nothing about their partner. i was reading a webtoon and this man is carrying the semes CHILD and they didn't know each other ages yet- wtF. i bet if you asked some random yaoi couple whats their partner's favorite color they would just stand there. like shit man you know every fucking thing about their body but do you know anything about them? am i just reading really shitty yaoi (maybe. actually yes i read a lot of shit yaoi just because of the smut and hot men. please recommend me some good stories. they don't have to be yaoi i just want to read something good.)
Read and support better stories. Everyone's tastes are different and so most of a genre often caters to the bare minimum of most people's tastes. And most people can do without fleshed out characters. I think knowing someone's favorite color doesn't denote an actual connection/deep knowledge of someone as a person.
