I usually read on the subway (or anywhere tbh), with my phone. Read like normal. Unless you know them, they prolly won't ask about it even if they see it. If they're your friend, just come clean and admit to being a fujoshi. After years of being embarrassed of liking yaoi, I just stopped caring I guess.

It's rare but you're going to be caught eventually. On the bright side, 9/10 people who catch that will pretend they never saw anything. The real method is to just have no shame. 2 reply
I read yaoi in public all the time, whether its manga or a nove. I usually never have it in a physical copy, its usually on my phone with the brightness turned all the way or halffway down so people wont really notice. reply
That's fairly easy. I read hard Yaoi in public. And I just don't care if anyone catches a glimpse of it.
