Fetishizing Gay Couples?
does being a straight fujoshi mean you fetishize gay couples? i love reading yaoi and BL because the stories are funny, emotional, and well-paced. I won't not read a webtoon or manhwa if it's not BL, but i generally prefer reading BL not just because of the stories but also because the tiktok, instagram and mangago communities are so enjoyable and funny to be a part of. I really do find the concept of fetishizing anyone for anything is absolutely disgusting, so I really want to disassociate myself from it as much as possible and I don't wanna do it even mistakenly.
I want to know whether the mere coexistence of my sexuality and my love for reading yaoi/BL deem me as fetishizing gay couples or a specific action or belief? everyone seems to have a different answer
also i wanna note that i NEVER ship two people who are straight in a gay couple (for example zuko and sokka from avatar) and/or deem a gay couple as actually straight or just "best friends" (yuri and victor from yuri on ice)
As a gay man I can tell you that's it's usually pretty obvious when someone is fetishizing. I don't usually have a problem with people of any gender reading gay material so long as it's not done with the desire to fulfil a sexual/romantic fantasy.

That you find this site's... uh, "community" to be "enjoyable" rather than "wildly problematic" as it pertains to yaoi/bl certainly isn't helping your case.
And if you think yaoi is "well-paced" you desperately need to read literally anything else. Yaoi is a lot of things, but "well-paced" is definitely not one of them. reply
It seems u r a girl. So i ll answer this: u can fet.gays in bl, yaoi. But, if u see it in reality, u may be disappointed. Cuz gays may behave as girls, and also beautiful sex between 2 guys (which u watch in yaoi) in reality ..... Different.
In real life u won't ever seen such sexy bottom, as in yaoi. Such bottoms barely exist.
