Does anyone have male friends you're comfortable with, and like them as a friend and not romantical?
A lot of people said girls and boys can't be close friends cause it's easy to fall in love at that point, but I dont really believe that, although i dont really have a prove, cause I have never had a male friend before until recently. I'm a girl and for a very long time I couldn't make a single male friend in my life. Even if I had one, we weren't close, and more like classmates or casual friends. But I met a guy recently and we have a lot of similarities and get along pretty well! Although I have to make an effort to think what to say to him, cause I dunno how guys think, so I always think how to talk without offending him or idk, I just want to make both of us comfortable. I'm very excited (sorry, he's just my first male friend) but kinda worried cause I dont want to mistake this "like" towards a friend for "like" romantically. Please, let me know your opinions;;; if ur a guy plz let me know yours too (⊙…⊙ ).. For now, idk how to appropriately treat a male friend.
Maybe you should try to stay in a friend group setting for most of your interactions with him. This is so he does not get the idea that you seek a romantic relationship with him. Once in a while you hang alone with him outside and very rarely in his house or your house. Just try to see him as a friend not a "male" friend, treat him like a general f...... reply
You can have a friend of the opposite gender without catching any romantic feelings, don't worry. I have two male clasmates that i often talked to but overall, i get along with my male classmates and they're really nice. Like sure they always like to tease and annoy me but they're really sweet, like one of them nominated me as the "nicest classmate...... reply
I have a boy classmate that I'm really comfortable with. Like whenever we talk we sometimes yell at each other lmao. If we aren't yelling at each other we would either be talking about school or about random memes we found. reply
Yup, had a lot of male friends throughout my lifetime. All of them were funny and cool, plus, they're extra nice to me cause I'm nice to them too.

I do. We're complete opposites appearance-wise but we have the same personalities. We've been friends for eight years. He has his own family now and I love him like a real brother. reply
