Does anybody else who reads shounen ai and yaoi have a problem with reading girlxboy relationship mangas, i have a weird problem where it kinda disgusts me, im not against it or anything but like i cant stand to read it for some reason ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Sometimes yes, but mostly the reason is that the main character or both parties act fucking ridiculously. By that I mean a crazy amount of unnecessary drama (I saw you smiling/waving/walking/talking with someone else, everything is going too well so he/she doesn't actually like me, too much shoujo and nothing actually happening, a weak lil' shit th...... 2 reply
I can relate so much! I've been reading Yaoi for a good 3 years, literally EVERY night before bed. It's become a habit now.
Ever since I started reading it, Shoujo seems so..... weird and foreign for me. It bores me and annoys me for some reason.. It's just bland. And I cringe at even seeing some Shoujo manga covers on the front page D:

yeah and its weird. im gay and tbh straight couples make me uncomfortable and i dont like seeing it in person and i absolutely cant stand reading shoujo even if the plot seems really interesting... but im perfectly fine when it comes to watching dramas and movies which is odd. i guess its just not in my comfort zone... shoujo mangas honestly arent ...... 1 reply
I'm a more recent yaoi/shounen ai convert but i don't hate shoujo. Shoujo was my first addiction lol. I will read it sometimes if it's one I'm hooked on (like Skip Beat) or if there's an interesting, moving plot that feels pretty fresh. But I do notice that most shoujo relationships move at a snail's pace compared to yaoi. There are things that ...... reply
