Ik it's spooky season but what's with spoopy

Why, for the love of all things holy, does everyone insist on adding spoopy to their username? ONLY on here have I seen it, and it's not bad or anything I'm just so confused and tired. I'll be replying to a comment and see it's something like SPOOPY_toast and suddenly have to question myself and what day it is. But thanks for the Halloween reminders y'all, as if I needed more...
