How long are you willing to wait for updates on manga?
For me, it depends on how interesting the plot is, but it can also be based on the quality of the translation/the effort put in. I have waited for updates on mangas that need to be translated only to get one chapter after waiting for over a year (which is fine by me lolol). Ultimately, I can wait forever if I know that the author/translator is still motivated to update.
If a chapter takes too long to update, people may lose interest. If chapters are uploaded too frequently, people may feel overwhelmed and not read at all. The ideal situation is around 1 chapter every 1~2 weeks, but that doesn't work out at times.
Many people complain about wanting faster updates on manga/manhua/manwha/webcomics/etc., but where do you personally draw the line? What do you think the ideal update schedule should be?

I really didn’t care at the beginning cause I had so many to read, but now I draw the line at like 2-4 months. I think it’s reasonable. But if it’s been a long time and they dropped it, I will ultimately forget that it exists, and read other books and stuff. reply
Even though this post was made in 2017 and has randomly revived i'll answer it anyway-
I don't really have a wait time, I'll start something and let it marinate for a ton of chapters then read it again. I do this simply because I like to wait till I almost forget the plot so I have this weird sense of deja vu when I go back to read whatever I put o...... reply
If not considering the one I know will never finish, the longest I’ve waited for a work to come back was 4 years
I think as long as I like it a lot and I know the author has the passion to continue, I can wait for a long time 1 reply
