I do have a bunch of experience with the newer stuff since I had to start somewhere when I first started watching anime and read manga, but honestly, I did my best with Naruto since a bunch of other people I knew watched it and liked it a lot, but after the first episode I immediately dropped it because it was too long anyway and wasn't my cup of t...... 3 reply

Don't really know what's currently mainstream popular in manga either, as I mostly read yaoi/yuri, random seinen, and webtoons nowadays, but I haven't read Attack on Titan or Haikyuu. reply
Watched like the first season of Naruto but dropped it, never watched Bleach One piece, hunter x hunter, Fairy tail, SAO, JoJo's bizarre adventure, Haikyuu, Yawamushi Pedal, Kuroko's basket and many more... When I was a kid my sister forced me to watch ONE (1) episode of Full Metal Alchemist, It was that episode with the talking dog.. I cried for ...... reply

anything that has romance beyween a boy and a girl in the genre lists. harem+romance+ecchi (maybe)+supernatural+etc is probably fine. other than that, ive watched all the populad and most of the unknown anime EXCEPT dragonball z or the whole dragon ball series. after i found out that those 2 were getting married like naruto and hinata i was like "f...... reply
I've got pretty much all the really famous ones covered (dragon ball, naruto, one piece, fairy tail, bleach, shokugeki no souma, nanatsu no taizai, boku no hero, shingeki no kyojin, hunter x hunter, fullmetal alchemist, etc.). From the longer manga, I've yet to read Gintama, Jojo, Toriko, and Hajime no Ippo but perhaps some day I will. reply
It's hard for me to keep up with those long series. I mean I watched pieces of bleach, one piece, naruto and fairy tale but they're just too long. Somehow I got through rave master and samurai deeper kyo (manga at least, anime was worst adaptation I've ever seen) but it was hard. reply
I've read/watched most of the popular ones although I've dropped a bunch of them because they just got boring, like Naruto and Bleach
