Trying to self-teach a language
I discovered duolingo online and was happy that they had Irish as one of the languages that you can learn. It has a bit of a personal connection for me because I come from a family of Irish-Appalachians. It's challenging, but I'm slowly making progress!
I learned english through Google Translator. There was a site with flash games about nature and such, and everyone was speaking in english. I didn't understand a shit so I started to translate what people said to me, then translate from spanish to english my own replies.
