Why do people complain about men/Yaoi being oversexualized
Yeah, its wrong to do this to anyone especially directly, but haven't men done this to us girls too?... It is shown with how we are portrayed in the media such as anime, music videos, television etc.. Lesbians aren't safe either, in fact its a fetish (if u go on porn hub lesbians are on the straight section :/) most ecci Yuri's and ecchis animes make me very uncomfy so when ppl say "stop supporting yaoi" because it oversexualizes them sometimes I remember how men do this to us too..... Isn't us reading bl empowering in some ways? We take the misoginy out the picture there and it feels safer to forget about how we get treated
Just because it happens/happened to us, doesn't mean we have to do it to them. Just ignore what they say and peacefully read your shit without fetishizing n stuff, you'll find life much easier. reply

Since it happened to women, women should be especially aware of the danger of fetishization. And I'm not sure to get it but are you saying the solution to encourage women empowerment is to take revenge on straight men by oversexualizing gay men? How does it make sense?

i mean, i think that if something wrong is being done to one side of the community, that side of the community shouldn’t do it to another side of the community because it just starts a chain reaction. Also, from what i know, it’s mainly straight men who sexualise lesbian porn, so we don’t have the right to take it out on gay men or the portra...... reply
