Is no one bothered by rape in yaoi?
I love yaoi, okay? Don't get me wrong. But are you seriously okay with the uke falling in love with the rapist/predator/paedo seme? Whatever the reason maybe for the seme to do it but this really really bothers me becoz most of the time it's becoz the seme is afraid to confess or some bullshit. Is it really love if you rape them? Like what? I just want to know your opinion. Is it considered okay in japan? I mean there are 11-12 year old girls reading this shit. They are going to think rape is okay. OR even consider it a form of true love. Why no one says anything about it? Is everyone aware of this risk in japan? I mean in my country this would be banned lol.
Most people are not bothered by this because:
1. They are not dumb and can tell the difference between fantasy and reality, even young people. And
2. 11-12-year-olds should not even be "reading this shit." That is why the mangaka (manga artist), their publishers and even the scanlators put 18+ warnings on them, yet they are conveniently ignored...... 1 reply
