Totally normal.
1. By using tampons or diva cups, you don't have to deal with a mess. If your masturbation is purely clitoral stimulation, there's very little to clean up, and the natural lubrication that occurs will help the tampons or cups be more comfortable, especially if your tampon is too dry for a lighter flow.
