Gay Men/MLM thoughts on bara vs bl?
I'm gay and I want to know what other gay men/mlm think about bara and bl. I haven't read a ton of bara so I might be wrong in what I say about it, idk.
Personally, I'm not really that into bara and I read bl instead. Like, I don't care for really beefy and muscular guys and in bara. I prefer twinks/average build men which seems to be more common in bl. But I feel like I should like bara more since it's by gay men for gay men? Maybe I'm confused. I just wanna hear other's opinions on this.
Personally I like both an equal amount. Bara is a bit more comparable to my real life sex experiences, since it's actually written by gay men unlike yaoi. Yaoi has more story, but is often very much a straight woman's ideal vision of what gay sex is, and is often unrealistic.
