I wanna ask if you mostly read yaoi and avoid shounen ais are you fetishizing gay relationships? Isn't it like your choice what to read and what you're into?
I just don’t read shounen ai as much since I like smut? Any smut will do as long as it’s not too wack. I do read a lot of shounen ai too, but I always find myself reading yaoi so whatevs

I think that if you read Yaoi only for the porn you're fetishizing. But if you read yaoi because you enjoy the dynamics in gay relationships and sex is just a part of it, it's fine I guess.

Like it's fetishizing probably when you are- Idk tbh here, but just simply reading more yaoi than other genres isn't really fetishizing.
I mean me too, I read a lot of yaoi, I still read a few other genres though like straight romance, sports, action, horror and all that.

No, for example I prefer yaoi because I usually can find darker themes that interest me more, but...I literally get bored of sexual scenes especially detailed ones and I only read it for the plot/characters. Usually with yaoi I find heavier themes, but sometimes I can read shounen-ai reply
