I rather buy hard copies than digital, its something I can collect and hold, and it wont hurt my eyes for staring too long. I have a semi large collection over the years and mostly got them from thrift stores, library sales, and/or on sale. reading online is nice but nothing will beat having something you can hold in your hand(at least for me). I love to read online but I am a serious collector of hard copies. I have a small collection in English and a huge collection in Japanese. It does cost money but I work hard, pay my bills and buy doujinshi and manga. It makes me happy. I really love flipping through physical pages. Maybe I am a dying breed. I never bought manga because I can't afford it, I'm grateful sites like this exist bc I wouldn't be able to enjoy these stories otherwise. A local comicsbook store was selling manga at cheap price last week, but I needed the money to take the bus, so I didn't buy any, but I think the real copy are very pretty! I hope more current Yaoi's get translated because I do prefer to buy English translations. I think that reading online is good to keep up with c......   reply

I only buy my favorite chpts/manga. I prefer them hardcover if they're a rare/special edition or if they were discontinued long ago and now back in stock (like the Saiyuki series). In general I buy them paperback cause its cheap.   1 reply

I generally don't buy paper copies of manga, since I almost exclusively read yuri manga and I would be unable to buy that stuff without my family knowing about it. That said, I did recently buy the Azumanga Daioh omnibus.   reply

... Because my country is not doing well in the "wealth" department um.... We don't have manga here And uh... Our family is not doing well on the "wealth" department either... But i would love to get the original copy if i ever get the chance to buy one! Problem is if my family would let that happen.... I'm genuinely jealous of people who have ori......   reply
