And I'm not talking about BJ Alex, Painter of the Night, Killing Stalking, Love is an illusion etc, like I'm pretty sure we are all aware those are trash fests but entertaining.
You know what people dont talk about enough how BAD cherry blossoms after winter is....... there I said it. That manhwa fills me up with an irrational amount of hatred just cause of how mediocre and boring it is.
Oh another thing, its hype has died down now but window beyond window......hated it. The reasons I hated it where a lot more for analytical reasons. Like the Mc lost his entire personality a quarter way through and it made me so mad because I felt like it had so much more potential.
Tbh I think most of the popular BLs rn are too overrated and too hyped up compared to their actual contents, most of them are either too simple, too dramatic, too stretched, some have too much rape-y scenes yet the readers ignore it because the uke seemed to ‘like’ it and sometimes ppl just keep on reading them because of an attachment to a cer...... 8 reply
As someone who has trash taste :D, I gotta leave my opinion. I actually really enjoyed BJ Alex, Painter of the Night is getting worse (but I’m still whipped for every single update they release and love the story), Love is an Illusion is really overrated and the whole romance between the main pair is kinda meh, and I totally agree that Window Bey...... 3 reply

I feel like a lot of series in webcomic format are kinda overrated tbh and get popular just because they’re webcomics. (not all of them of course, just a lot)

I loved CBAW the first 2 seasons but after that it was just meaningless filler that I read anyway cuz the couple was cute. I wouldn’t necessarily call it bad though, it’s just standard cute fluff, which some may find boring. I also couldn’t stand window beyond window lol. I don't get how everyone raves on about Jiwon (BJ Alex) and his character development - I could barely stomach his initial personality enough to get to his supposed "development" and when it did happen it was for a half-assed reason and wasn't built on properly, so it just came out of the blue and felt awkward. Killing Stalking trash? Like, for me that I like horror and dark stuffs was excellent. Deep characters, beautiful drawings and good plot. I really liked especially Sangwoo on a psychological level because he's truly interesting, but I always like villains so. 5 reply
