I don't believe in the whole "it's overrated/underrated" thingy. What's very popular might be popular for various reasons including: characters, plot, drawings, eventually smut because it's something most of people like (I don't, but I can read about it. I prefer partially drawn sexual scenes, though), setting, couples, etc.
