When did you start reading manga/manwhas?

i wanna know how you guys started reading mangas ahaha.
i started reading mangas when i discovered it from a friend, i asked her
"what are those comics? why do they look so much like an anime?" and she told me that these "anime comics" are called mangas.
so i asked her to refer some nice ones to me, and i kept on reading different genres which lead me to loving yaoi, yuri and doujinshis hehe
