Anyone feel like they're outgrowing yaoi manga?
I used to read so much yaoi everyday, obsessively. But these days I find myself rolling my eyes and rushing through the chapters to finish them quickly, or I'll just stop reading. Recently I tried rereading one of my favorite shounen ai manga and I wish I hadn't. I think it has largely to do with exposure to a lot of other literature. Man, and I thought I was going to be reading yaoi all my life.
Hmm, I had that same experience a couple years ago. For me I was just caught up in my own problems to even bother with yaoi. Didn't have the time or interest for it especially since they all seemed like the same plot to me. But here I am now back at it again. I also thought I outgrew it's appeal but all it took was one bored night and a beautifully...... reply
