Anyone feel like they're outgrowing yaoi manga?
I used to read so much yaoi everyday, obsessively. But these days I find myself rolling my eyes and rushing through the chapters to finish them quickly, or I'll just stop reading. Recently I tried rereading one of my favorite shounen ai manga and I wish I hadn't. I think it has largely to do with exposure to a lot of other literature. Man, and I thought I was going to be reading yaoi all my life.
I did feel like it for a few years, my tastes changed, I didn't feel like reading romance, I was mostly reading shonen and barely reading any manga anyway. I also felt the lack of good ones translated to english at that time, most of the stuff left that I didn't read was too silly/bad. Well this was like, 4-5 years ago, or even more.
