Has yaoi ruined your views on heterosexuals?
I’ve been reading yaoi for several years now and I feel like being gay is the norm (￣∇￣") not to say that being gay isn’t normal. Like I still read shoujo but in real life when I think about a man and woman dating, it somehow seems weird to me, like I don’t immediately think of man and woman but I also don’t think of man and man immediately... I just think of the word ‘dating’ and stop there. It’s really hard to explain when I’m conscious of what I’m trying to say lol.

Whether they’re gay, bisexual, lesbian, heterosexual,ect it’s not a surprise or a weird thing to me. It’s their business, not mine. And honestly I think it’s less troublesome to not peak in other people’s relationships. They’re human before being a gay,heterosexual,lesbian,bisexua...... reply

No, not really.
I'm a lesbian, myself, but I do think that a f/m couple could consist of people who are trans female or trans male, or people who are interested in more than one gender, or not interested in sex, and that's pretty cool.
I DO personally find it much more difficult to read about any couples that aren't LGBT, though, and I don't think ...... 1 reply
no? not exactly. i read yaoi and yuri because lgbt stories are so fuckIng hard to find. im gay myself so hetero romance in shows and such has always been a bit strange per say? i could never relate to them sense it's usually the same. girl meets boy. girl and boy fall in love. have three kids. happily ever after. so, mainly alot of my ships are gay...... reply
Actually no. I never really cared much about heterosexual romance anyway. Everything from TV series, Novels to Movies have heterosexual romance. So it is kind of boring to me anyway. Yaoi is like a fresh perspective. It's like the breath of fresh air that hits you after you get out of a crowded place. It's a space where I can escape from my daily b...... reply

Except for my best friend who's a straight female, I literally hang out with only gay people, so my opinion may be biased, bur when I hear a word "dating" I immediately picture two gays or two lesbians. But that's because of my... environment, I guess. Straight couples are just as valid. reply
