do you ever see yaoi fans that get weirded out by actual gay people?
I knew some girls that also liked bl and were weirded out by a lesbian and then were basically??? fetishising some bi guys we knew? needless to say I cut them off and was super disgusted by those girls. I dont know if thats a double standard or something needless to say people are weird. Have you guys seen anything like this before? I know its a thing that some "hyper masculine straight guys" like lesbians but get defensive around gay guys.
In real life I've seen it once and I cut that girl out of my life ASAP. Online I've seen it many times. It's gotten to the point where I try to not talk to anyone who calls themselves a Fujoshi if they're non-Japanese and cishet. Fact: Yaoi has nothing to do with LBGT. This is the most common believe of foreigners. yaoi is written by women for women, most of them straights. Some japanese woman use to fetishize gay men/relationships. This is why yaoi was created. The "Bara"/ML genre is the one written by gays for gays. Bara/ML is the LBGT related.

I have seen many instances of it online but not in real life. Well, fujoshis has never really been my kind of people since a lot of them are immature teenagers. I love when I actually get to talk to someone who is more mature. reply
I enjoy BL a lot but I do NOT fetishize real gay men at all lol. I used to in like 6th grade?? But that was several years ago and I just grew out of that weird phase where I was like “omg !!!! Never met somebody irl, nor online tbh, only heard about people being like this. It is prolly due to me blocking or only interacting with those that seem open minded.
