Prejudment
I love tattoo as an expression of art and I really want to get one, but since I'm japanese descendant my parents don't agree with it. They told me that if I go to Japan to travel I won't be well accepted too. Have you ever experienced some kind of prejudment because of tattoos? How is it seen in your country?
in japan specifically, it's not seen as a good thing, because it's tied to yakuza.
i don't think anyone would freak out over it, but if you did go to japan with a tattoo, and you were somewhere like on the streets or at a park, etc, it would be best to cover them up.
i live in the US, so it's widely accepted here. i don't even really know of anyone...... 3 reply
