Thoughts about rape in fiction?
Its here. We need to talk about this. I personally don't get why's people being mad about rape in mangas, manhwas, fanfics, etc. I mean sure its okay to have opinions. But sometimes, i saw some people commenting, saying how they dont support rape etc, even blaming the manga-- Even when the translator literally put a warning. Me personally, it doesn't bother me a lot since i know the difference between fantasy and reality. But i want to know other people's thoughts too.
As long as it's in fiction I don't mind rape scenes especially since I like omegaverse stuff and pretty much most omegas get rape, it turns me on so much like nothing else!. 1 reply
Rape in mangas/webtoons/etc are for mature audiences! People forget that you have to be over 18 to buy these. They are not meant for public sites like mangago. just because sb likes reading rape scenes in mangas does not mean they support rape. i also dont think any of the authors support rape. People like it simply because it's always drawn very intense. it's fiction, not reality.

Just because a manga artist/author depicts rape in a manga does not mean they support rape. It can be used to create a story or a plot line on how the mc finds a support system.
I get why a person would be upset or outrage by depictions however different manga appeal to different people. There is a difference between a fantasy and a real world sc...... reply
This is like a never ending forum. However, I need to get this off my chest. This is an illegal website, where people come to read, which is basically stealing. We are all stealing. The authors who created these mangas/mangwas/webtoons do NOT want their work HERE where people, many who are too young to read their work, stealing their stuff. Rape, u...... reply
I don't mind rape in mangas/manhwas at all. I mean I know it's fiction and I'm almost 100% sure that authors who draw the typical rape to love trope do not support rape in real life nor will they rape someone. Also I think it's really rude to hate on a manga/manhwa or author bc they romanticize rape, it's their work and they can draw what they want...... 3 reply
My only real complaint is that it tends to be overused to the point where
you just get tired of it after awhile. It's mostly used to rush the romance along,
and just feels like lazy writing. Also the uke almost always ends up being a pushover
who can't stand up for himself, and always lets the seme control everything he does,

I don't mind rape in fiction either. It's not something I search for but I don't hate it, i just hate when it's so poorly written. I love dark fiction, as in books, films, manga, etc. but if it includes rape, i prefer it at least be developed (idk how to word this oof) instead of just thrown in there for shock value....if it's not written well it's...... 2 reply
