so i saw the "silence the white voices" tingy and understood that it was just half joking like not so serious and then i saw another qn where the op said that a non-black person wearing box braids is racist,im indian so never properly understood why a hairstyle had so much controversy behind it? can someone explain cause i didnt see any exploitation of cultural from my point of view,help!
Here's the way I understand it, not from personal experience but from hearing from others. Black people are frequently criticized in the workplace for wearing traditional hairstyles, or even for having natural, unstyled hair.
