I’m not going to dive to see into this conversation, but think of it as them doing y’all a favor. You do realize that your hair *will* fall out if you try those styles. 1 reply

If your type 1 or 2 it's going to rip your hair out. it's just not good for that hair type and second is when Specifically yt people wear it the6 like to rename it and act like it's theirs and that's so disrespectful. For example boxer braids are really call Corrows braids right when Kim...... 1 reply
It’s not racist as long as you’re respectful about it and if you part them correctly then box braids won’t damage anyone’s hair so wear box braids if you want.
Key word:RESPECTFUL reply
The reality is, this question doesn’t belong here. Y’all start stupid shit. But the answer is, you can wear braids if you have straight to lose curly hair. HOWEVER, braids originate in Africa for African hair types. Many people with box braids who ARENT black experience dirty and greasy scalps and even their hair falling out. This is literally ...... reply
I'm not black so I can't give my personal opinion or speak out. But my friend is and she has talked about this to me and shared her opinion. Box braids on an actual black person people have been called ghetto, unprofessional and etc... Yet when a white person does it they're called fashionable, nice, and etc... There's a big gap on how black people...... reply
Here's the way I understand it, not from personal experience but from hearing from others. Black people are frequently criticized in the workplace for wearing traditional hairstyles, or even for having natural, unstyled hair. Their hair is treated as unprofessional if they do anything other than straighten it and wear it like white people do, which...... reply
