How do you feel about Yaoi & the misrepresentation of LGBT community in media?
Hi, I'd love to hear thoughts on this statement: "Hey fun fact! Fetishizing gay men is disgusting and if you’re a fujoshi/ yaoi fan you should stop and realize you’re not representing or helping mlm correctly by posting your “uwu trash sinful gaybies otp” and only harms the community". I know this kind of topic has already been asked again, & again. I don't mean to start a shit storm cuz I know that can get ugly quick but, Im often really unsure where I stand on this. I'd really appreciate hearing other viewpoints.
It's just porn and most of the time not made to be taken seriously or to represent actual gay people. I think it's fine as long as you can clearly separate it from real life and realize that it isn't realistic and RESPECT REAL LIFE LGBT+ PEOPLE AS PEOPLE.
