How do you feel about Yaoi & the misrepresentation of LGBT community in media?
Hi, I'd love to hear thoughts on this statement: "Hey fun fact! Fetishizing gay men is disgusting and if you’re a fujoshi/ yaoi fan you should stop and realize you’re not representing or helping mlm correctly by posting your “uwu trash sinful gaybies otp” and only harms the community". I know this kind of topic has already been asked again, & again. I don't mean to start a shit storm cuz I know that can get ugly quick but, Im often really unsure where I stand on this. I'd really appreciate hearing other viewpoints.
Most girls who read BL/Yaoi aren't "fetishizing" gay relationships. They enjoy the idea of romance, but most don't look into straight romance because when there's a girl involved they start to self insert.
