How do you feel about Yaoi & the misrepresentation of LGBT community in media?
Hi, I'd love to hear thoughts on this statement: "Hey fun fact! Fetishizing gay men is disgusting and if you’re a fujoshi/ yaoi fan you should stop and realize you’re not representing or helping mlm correctly by posting your “uwu trash sinful gaybies otp” and only harms the community". I know this kind of topic has already been asked again, & again. I don't mean to start a shit storm cuz I know that can get ugly quick but, Im often really unsure where I stand on this. I'd really appreciate hearing other viewpoints.
I honestly think that the people who fetishize gay men are either exceptional individuals or, they just are young and were never shown or taught how to properly socialize from their parents and get a strange idea on how the world works through media and online.
As far as the representation of lgbt community if the media does create negative repres...... reply
