Why do you read yaoi?
Based off another question on here, but I just realized that I read a lot of yaoi stories (I read other things too, its not just exclusively yaoi content) but I don't really have any reason why I like it other than it's entertaining? Like I have no super deep or emotional reason to read so much of it, but I do anyway? Does that even make sense? So I'm just curious as to why other people read it and like it so much, because maybe then I can relate and understand myself more?
I’m aromantic ace. I can only feel love and lust when I read about it. It makes me feel like I can sorta feel it too, as long as there’s another element I’m familiar with. I like it because of the art styles, experiences, emotions, etc.
its fun growing connected to these story lines, making predictions, and getting a feel for the author at hand. You can (sometimes lmao) find something really beautiful in these stories. I don't know. I just love romantics and the tenderness of it evokes so many emotions (that I usual...... reply

I'm gonna be completely honest here. I have two reasons:
1) When it comes to the more intimate scenes such as heavy kissing and having sex, these scenes somehow made my ovaries tingle. It was a weird feeling but I didn't mind it because it felt good.
2) I like seeing the tough guy be dominated by a tougher guy. reply
