A guy asked me why i liked yaoi since im a straight female so i should like hentai/ecchi which has hetero rlships. So i wanna ask how many of u out there watch hentai? Do you like it?
Personally I find hentai too rapey but yaoi has a lot of rape too so im like (´・ω・`)???
Imo you can't really compare hentai to yaoi, because not all yaoi mangas are pure smut, some of them actually have a plot and development, hentai on the other hand is just sex and the dude doesn't even have a face most of the time.

I don't watch, I read it sometimes to fulfill some fetishes.
But it isn't weird to enjoy rape-y yaoi. Most of the time, it is the woman who gets raped or ravished and objectified in hentai, so it is understandable to not enjoy it since you are a woman yourself.

I have watched some but not recently. Partially b/c I don't have as much time and privacy that I used to and it's easier to just read.
Many have elements I don't like that others have also mentioned in their responses: rape, harem, NTR, ugly men, boring story or lack of one, mind break, too many fluids, annoying female voices, lack of animation b...... reply

Well, i'm a straight female too, but i don't like hentai/ecchi, i literally don't watch anime with "ecchi" on the genre even my friends tell me that theres not much ecchi things in it and the story is good. I still skipped it.
But i do like yaoi, like a looottt. I found yaoi as a cute stories, even there is some rape in it but still. I think hent...... 1 reply
