Keep in mind that extreme heat speeds up the rate of decomposition. Keep in mind that extreme cold slows it down. Therefore: commit your murders in the summer.
That won't work if I were to burn the body right because burning a body releases a weird stench which will be less noticeable during winter. And most murderers would go for "burning the body" rather than "leaving it to decompose". And a decomposing body releases a foul odor too.
