Where do you draw the line?
What line won't you cross when reading Yaoi? Or can you deal with anything?I recently read a certain manga which really made me think about my life lol but really made me realize what my boundaries are. I thought that I was pretty numb to everything, but even I have lines I don't cross in Yaoi. I am okay with pretty much ANYTHING (bdsm, rape, incest, and more stuff I don't wanna say, I feel kinda bad lol) in Yaoi up to:
Scat (seriously) Dismemberment (certain gore I can handle) Triple insertion (what, two isn't good enough for ya?) Sex with creepily young kids (if they say wee wee, pee pee, or ochinchin I'm like, nah) Necrophilia(seen it once, wasn't happy)
And that's about it. If I didn't mention one, it doesn't horrify me, sorry. What about you guys? Where do you draw the line or are you so numb, there is no line?
I usually am pretty logical and like discovering new things. Like necrophilia, won't seek it out but I'll see how it develops. So I can't say I have a line. After all, most yaoi are unrealistic and fictional. No reason to take it seriously. 2 reply
I don't like violence..although I like yakuza themed Manga....but not to the point where you harass someone...until they bleed or something (yikes) Meaningless torture is avoided by me. I mean BDSM can't go to the point of bleeding and crying for me. Also, I don't like yaoi where small children are involved.....and also bara :( It's a big NO-NO reply
Sometimes incest gets me. There are a few exceptions to the rule, but for the most part, it freaks me out...
Also, I hate when there's rape and the uke forgives the seme almost immediately. There are a few cases where the rape was necessary for the uke to discover his feelings, but for the most part, the forgiveness and 'love' seem forced...

Same! I'm usually pretty okay with everything, but I always stay away from scat, gore, shotacon, and necrophilia. I also don't really read ones that are too..serious and gloomy? Like, I read yaoi to have fun so ones with super heavy angst or plot are not really up my alley. Or ones so deep it made me think and reflect about my life, nu uh (lol)

Well I don't necessarily like scat/necrophilia/mindbreak-Shota but I can handle reading it. I mean some shota's are actually quite cute, story, drawing, and all that.
What i can't stand would probably be extreme gore.

I can handle anything gore like dismemberment and necro but sexual abuse just gets to me. Pedophilia, gang rape, sexual torture, ect triggers me to no end. And not just in manga either. When I read true crime cases or watch documentaries and it's about sexual violence I have to turn it off especially when the victim is a child. Genres like that tha...... reply
I never think about "draw line" , thanks for you that I think it now (in a good way). I don't really know about it but I hate it ,when between seme and uke never have love from start until end.
