ive watched some videos made by japanese people and they talk about how big 'peace and harmony' is there so it probably has to do with that? basically they wont get involved in something that's not a personal issue as to not cause disruption to the peace. i think..? reply
If you truly want to know why they're like that, I heavily suggest you look into Japan's history and culture. It's no wonder it's more normalized there. I'm guessing the reason why they continue to do it is just because of tradition? ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ idk.
