I guess for anime, no game no life zero, angel beats... The most emotional and best manga I’ve read to date is Pandora Hearts. It’s a slow build up one that builds up its mystery and characters for the first 40-ish chapters but the payoff is well worth the slow beginning and it’s one of the most emotional roller coasters I’ve ever read.
