The most emotional and best manga I’ve read to date is Pandora Hearts. It’s a slow build up one that builds up its mystery and characters for the first 40-ish chapters but the payoff is well worth the slow beginning and it’s one of the most emotional roller coasters I’ve ever read. His and Her Circumstances- This one is one of my favorites. It's a bit old, but the plot and characters are amazing. While it starts off very innocent as we learn about the ML we learn of his abusive childhood and his trauma from it.
Mars- the art style is a bit old but it's really good. It covers abuse and the trauma related to it.

I'd recommend AIR, Kanon (2006), and possibly the Little Busters anime adaptations since they were made by the same company as the creators of Clannad, although their visual novel counterparts are better in my opinion. Other than that, I'd say Angel Beats, Anohana, and Plastic Memories reply
