From having to analyze so many writing excerpts (from writing geniuses and classmates) in AP English Language, I can say this: your vocab is redundant. If you are trying to impress, use more "brain-friendly" words, too many fancy words can make your writing seem redundant. All my friends and family know I read yaoi and BL: this was revealed through me constantly fangirling about them.
