I didn't really know what "black-washing" was until I came across a video of someone making Senku have a darker skin tone with Afrocentric features, As a Black person (from the Caribbean) im confused on the reason for that? My stance on this is shaky, and I would really like if you guys would share ur opinion on it.
I think its hypocritical of people finding it fine. While I understand wanting to have more representation its disrespectful to those in the asian and european communities to have their culture, ethnicity and race erased. While one can have black/afrocentric features and still be asian or really any race, its already canonized that the person does ...... 1 reply
