So why do you guys read bl?
For me I read bl because I'm a jealous person so when I read bl it's automatic that the characters ain't liking me (romantically), but in straight romance there's ml and fl only so I (kinda) have a chance so my delusional self having thoughts of marrying them, being lovely dovely, them hot mls doing the greenest thing to me, and then remembering that they have a partner plus being fictional, so I cry till my eyes are swollen because I envy them. Lol
I'm on the aro-ace spectrum and I noticed I would feel really uncomfortable whenever I see heterosexual relationship being portrayed. As a woman, I can put myself on their shoes and I hate it, so I would rather read romance where my gender is not in it at all.
