Does anyone else wonder why GL is so less popular than BL?
Even on here, 228 pages of the yaoi genre and only 48 pages for the yuri genre. And that doesnt even count for the amount of GLs that are tagged wrong and feature no WLW couples, plots, or even characters. Like damn i click on a comic tagged yuri and its actually a story of 2 girls fighting over 1 guy I AM NOT INTERESTED!!!
I understand the sentiments. I do have thoughts about the reasons, and they are by no means the most-informed and accurate answers.
I think that due to various factors, societal expectations (or acceptance) of what women/female characters can be are still not as accommodating as that of the male counterparts. The new generations of GL (and even SL...... 1 reply
