Give up. You know he'll never like you, you know that he likes someone else. It's okay, but making yourself think 'What if we have a chance?' And crave that will hurt you.
If you want closure, just tell him. 'I have a crush on you.' And let him respond, that way. You get the closure you need.

Honestly, for the optimistic side of things I'd say just go for it. Sometimes the most that can happen if u don't let it hurt is a simple no
but my pessimistic side is like no, men are wicked so proceed with caution and take my advice with a grain of salt. reply
try to befriend him and see if y'all can get closer, find common interests and see if he shows any feelings towards you (and ofc if you STILL like him after getting to know him better)
