Okay I work for my dad and I live with him. He basically pays for my living and food and that’s it. He also gives me a $30 allowance every two weeks. The problem is I work for him and I can’t stop working for him. I work at home but for 7 days a week and the average time I work is 9 hours like yesterday I worked from 10 a.m to 8 p.m. I don’t mind the job because it’s easy but my dad won’t pay me. I have worked for 4 months and got payed $1,500. I have talk to him and now every time I mention money he freaks out on me saying how he would pay me whenever he wants and how god is happy at me for helping my dad. Now he gave me a check for a $1,000 to deposit on my account but he forgot to put the date and I didn’t notice this. So now the check is invalid and when I brought out his check book he started to get mad at me saying “I talk to you about this already” “stop it” and flailing his hand to make me go away. Now I am working and I can’t stop but I really want the money. WHAT TO DO?
I get it. My father has my gift money which was given to me by my uncle and now I feel awkward how to ask him even thought its MINE.
But communication is the key honey. Your father can't brush you off like that! You need to be clear about your needs and wants. I mean you working for him, he gotta pay you!! reply
