Guys have you ever told anybody in real life that you like to read yaoi manga? (neurodivergent people and social media doesn’t count) I only told one person (we’re no longer friends btw) and not anybody else because not of the explicit scenes, but because most of the storylines are so taboo and we’re somehow “fetishizing homosexuals.”
I had a friend who would watch thai/korean/chinese bls, we would talk about heavens officials blessing (although I didn't read much of it) and others even though I never watched them...I never told her exactly that I read yaoi since they tend to be explicit whilst she only used to see kissing scenes and implied sex scenes.
