It can feel intimidating if someone likes you way more than you like them, even in platonic relationships. I say this as a woman who has scared people off by being too affectionate and clingy. Another possibility is that they have so low self-esteem that they, sadly, find it creepy that someone would like them that much. I say this from experience ...... reply

I don't think it's fair to relate if he's the only one who's enjoying it and not me. My therapist advised me to try to see if I really want the person and not just want to feel loved without loving back. reply
There’s a lot of possibilities:
- They don’t like the person (romantically or not)
- It’s too intense for them
- Not ready for a relationship
- They don’t like a “clingy” guy
