I prefer Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. I definitely have a weak spot for tsunderes and complicated histories (Takano&Onodera) and Yukina&Kisa are probably my favourite JR/SIH couple. Sekaiichi Hatsukoi (anime) was also what got me reading yaoi. 1 reply
Junjou Romantica was actually my first yaoi. Shitbrained 7 year old me was obsessed with everything Shungiku Nakamura after that. But I reread it a couple months ago, and its- really fucking bad. 1 reply
Sekaiichi, it was my first yaoi anime and also I just happen to dislike Usagi san. Though on both of those I prefer the side stories to the main ones 1 reply
I like SIH better. All the characters are more appealing to me there, esp Kisa and Yukina. In the main stories SIH have more of a goal and a direction and more interesting storyline, while Junjou is more random and is just going forward with no real goal. Except maybe coming out to Misaki's brother, but that's still not about the development about ...... reply
Sekaiichi Hatsukoi!!! because the manga Vol 7 Ch 6 features my favorite couple (Zen Kirishima and Takafumi Yokozawa), and their movie and light novel is claimed by the Sekaiichi Hatsukoi series. Not Junjou Romantica. Too me their relationship is so realistic its hard not to love it. reply
Both really suck imo. I was only ever a fan of Sekaiichi and it was the first bl I ever read, but the manga has gone to complete shit. I feel like most of the relationships lack substance and the story has dragged on for far too long already. I'm convinced that the mangaka doesn't give a shit about the story anymore and just recycles the same plots...... reply
